Floridas most famous inshore species by far the snook is a legend in the fishing world. With acrobatic jumps you will almost always know if you have a snook on the line as soon as your rod bends over.
Southwest Florida is home to some of the biggest snook in the entire state of Florida with some fish reaching 50” in length!! Captain Dylan loves targeting huge snook in the 40”+ range around docks with cut bait such as mullet and ladyfish. Snook start their life off as males and many will turn into females as they get bigger. Another tough fish to land due to razor sharp gill plates and sand paper lips that will fray through your leader line if the hook is not perfectly set on their lips.
Captain Dylan believes Southwest Florida may have the best Snook fishery in all of America. The best time to target snook is the summer time but are available to be caught all year round.
